Who CadreForge Is For

CadreForge is intended for hobbyists who want to manage their tabletop miniature collections, paint racks, paint recipes, checklists, and hobby progress.

CadreForge is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 18, you should only use CadreForge with permission from a parent or guardian.

What Information We Collect and Why

To provide the CadreForge service

We collect and use the following information to provide the CadreForge web app:

• Names and contact details, such as your email address and username.
• Account information, including registration and login details.
• Website user information, such as login sessions, cookies, and basic security logs.
• Hobby data you add to CadreForge, such as armies, units, paint rack entries, paint recipes, checklists, progress records, and time logs.
• Photographs or images you upload, such as model photos or paint recipe reference images.
• Information relating to support requests, compliments, complaints, or content reports.

To operate customer accounts

We collect and use the following information to create, manage, and secure user accounts:

• Names and contact details.
• Account information, including registration details.
• Information used for security purposes, such as authentication records and security logs.

For service updates

We may use your contact details to send important service updates about CadreForge. These may include account notices, security updates, beta updates, feature changes, or important changes to the service.

We do not currently use your personal information for paid advertising, third-party marketing, or newsletter campaigns. If this changes, we will update this privacy notice and provide any required consent options.

This benefits users by allowing them to access their armies, paint racks, recipes, checklists, uploaded images, and progress records safely and consistently. We only use the information needed for these purposes, and we do not use it in a way users would not reasonably expect.

Operating customer accounts

• Legitimate interests: we have a legitimate interest in creating, managing, and securing CadreForge user accounts.

• Legitimate interests: we have a legitimate interest in using contact details to send users important service updates about CadreForge, such as changes to the service, account notices, security updates, beta updates, feature changes, and information needed to keep the service running properly.

This benefits users by keeping them informed about the service they use. We only send updates that are relevant to CadreForge.

Queries, complaints, and claims

Our lawful bases are:

This benefits users by allowing us to investigate issues, provide support, correct problems, manage disputes, and keep appropriate records of what has been reported and how we responded. We only use the information needed to deal with the query, complaint, or claim, and we do not use it for unrelated purposes.

Where We Get Personal Information From

We get personal information directly from you when you create an account, use CadreForge, upload content, contact us, or otherwise interact with the service.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep account information for as long as your CadreForge account remains active.

If you delete your account or ask us to delete it, we will delete or anonymise your account data within 30 days, unless we need to keep limited information for legal, security, dispute, or abuse-prevention reasons.

Hobby data you add to CadreForge, such as armies, units, paint rack entries, recipes, checklists, progress records, time logs, and uploaded images, is kept while your account is active. This information will be deleted when your account is deleted, unless backup copies remain temporarily in secure backups.

Support emails, complaints, content reports, and related correspondence may be kept for up to 6 years where needed to handle disputes, legal claims, data protection records, or compliance records.

Server logs and security records are normally kept for a limited period, usually up to 90 days, unless they are needed for longer to investigate security issues, misuse, errors, or legal claims.

Backup copies may remain for a limited period after deletion until they are overwritten or securely removed.

Your Data Protection Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have rights over your personal information. These may include:

• The right to ask for a copy of your personal information.
• The right to ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• The right to ask us to delete your personal information.
• The right to ask us to restrict how we use your information.

Not all rights apply in every situation. If you make a request, we will respond without undue delay and within one month where required by law.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

CadreForge uses essential cookies required for account login, security, authentication, and remembering user session preferences such as "Remember me".

We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies. If optional analytics or marketing cookies are added in future, this privacy notice and cookie information will be updated, and consent controls will be introduced where required.

Uploaded Content

CadreForge may allow users to upload hobby-related images, such as model photos or paint recipe reference images. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload any content you add to CadreForge.

We may remove uploaded content if we believe it is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, breaches our rules, or creates a risk to CadreForge or other users.
